Bonsai Pilates

Why Pilates has it become so popular ?

Pilates brings a real improvement of health : less pain, fewer injuries, a position more aligned, and a sense of well-being that comes up very quickly.

In just a few sessions ago, we already feel the effects : one is more right, less back pain, we breathe better... and you'll feel better in his skin.

Who was Joseph Pilates ?

A child's fragile a pioneer of the conscious movement

The creator of this method, Joseph Hubertus Pilates (1883-1967), was a German who had suffered from childhood to various health problems such as asthma, rickets and rheumatic diseases.

Determined to improve his physical condition, he dedicated his life to the study of the anatomy, gymnastics, yoga, martial arts and breathing techniques.

During the First world War, while he was a prisoner of war in England, he began to develop a series of exercises for his companions detention – first, without any equipment, then adapting hospital beds to create the first versions of the devices of Pilates, such as the Reformer. His method was to strengthen the body, improve health, and prevent injury.

After the war, he emigrated to the United States and opened a studio in New York with his wife Clara. Pilates met a large success, especially with dancers and athletes, who appreciated his efficiency to strengthen the body, improve flexibility, and promote recovery after injury.

Why is this ideal ?

The Studio BONSAI – a space designed for you

I imagined this place as an invitation to reconnect to yourself. A space that is warm and authentic, where every detail has been thought of to create a soothing ambiance : dim light, soft music, natural materials, relaxing corner... Here, you can breathe, slow down and take care of you.

You will find :

  1. Pilates sessions in a small group or in private, to suit all levels
  2. A cover personalized nutrition, based on an approach to caring
  3. Workshops on nutrition, cooking and well-being

In BONSAI, you can move at your own pace. I prefer small groups to ensure a listening actual and support tailored to your needs. Here, your transformation is taking root in the soft, worn by the balance of the movement and the strength of the food.
